Chapter 1 by The owl

My head is filled with thoughts of you.
One day I will run out of room,
And then I will forget.

So many memâ€™ries oâ€™er the years,
Containing so much love and fear.
Theyâ€™re parts of me and you.

But now they slip and fade away,
Because you wonâ€™t be back today.
Iâ€™m not sure youâ€™ll return.

Without them, I might lose myself.
I donâ€™t want to lose this wealth,
Of our remembrances.

I never want to lose myself
Except when Iâ€™m with you.
A self is hardly necessâ€™ry
When you are one of two.
