One Sweet Night

The band starts up
A romantic piano solo
And eyes suddenly latch
Across the wedding hall
As the trumpet begins its slow,
Swaying tune. 
And you smile so sweetly,
Coy, emerald eyes twinkling
And our hands meet there
On the marbled dance floor,
Your fiery head against
My joyful shoulder,
Peacefully dancing all cares away,
Breathing in your cinnamon scent,
And hugging you so close. 
And light blue sparks of bliss
Emanate from revering wands,
Casts a tranquil glow on your
Soft, diamond tears;
Revolving slowly,
Forever in each others' arms,
And then do I know
That nothing else matters
But your carefree love.

Secure in your gentle hands,
A night to just close
My content and wet eyes,
As the cymbals tap out
Our twirling beat
And your warm raven head 
Leans on mine;
Fingers interlocked for eternity,
Just you and me.
One glance to your hazel eyes
That are streaming naught but love
And eminent grace;
A night to remember
As you murmur softly in
My agreeable ears of
What two persons such as we
Could do in our
Eternal lives. 
Dancing so blissfully,
And then does my heart
Confirm all I've cared for
As the music trills to
A sultry end, but we remain
Entwined forever as one.
