1. Just a Diary by Nagini Riddle
Just a Diary by Nagini Riddle
Just a Diary
Pages flying,
Fists fighting,
The bookstore in an uproar;
The cauldron echoing,
Books screaming,
Father's rage pours,
But quickly ends,
And home we go-
Just a diary.Â
Shy faces,
Bright blushes,
Hiding in my room;
Utter chaos,
Summer ends,
Off to my doom.
Leaving, leaving,
But I forgot!
Just a diary.Â
Emotions bottled,
Have to let go;
My soul is on the pages.
A burden lifted,
The day is brighter,
Progressing through joyful stages.
My friend,
My confidant-
Just a dairy.Â
Darkness.
Blood dripping.
Where have I been?
Evil grips me,
Won't let go,
Taints me with unknown sin.
Confusion,
Frustration-
Just a diary.Â
Sobbing,
Heart-wrenching,
I must be insane.
Destruction sets in,
And fear permeates;
Am I to blame?
Struggling,
Pen in hand-
Just a diary.Â
It's hold strengthens;
My soul's attached.
How do I stop it?
Blackness.
Days fly by,
Hope's flame no longer lit.
Scared,
Trembling-
Just a diary.Â
Rain.
Soaking.
Dispose of it quickly!
Flooding
Porcelain sinks,
Agony so prickly.
Raging, I drown it.
It lays there innocently-
Just... a diary?
End Notes:
I always wonder just how an eleven-year old felt about having a diary talk back to her. I hope this has captured it. :)
