Where is Your Heart

I can't seem to get through,
Because you
Just focus elsewhere,
And the spring in
Your step
Comes from insults spoken
Rather than true
Happiness.

The smile you leave-
I see right through.
It is only a facade
To hide your
True feelings,
And I don't expect
You to become like
Me-
But Merlin!
Help me!

Couldn't you try?
Couldn't you exert
A care to make
A small
Change?
I thought you
Were loyal to
Me.

But now I know it
Cannot be,
And I see in your
Dark black eyes:
The seas
Of jealousy-

Where is your heart?

I can't seem to see it
Or feel it in
What you've done.

Where is your heart?

I want so badly
To believe in
You!
Why is it hard for you
To realize
All the anguish
You have caused?

I just don't understand
Why your tone is
Unforgiving and
Cold.
It seems that there is nothing-
Nothing-
Left to be
Spoken
Because your words
Repeat without true
Emotion.

A very conversational poem, true, but I wanted to capture the essence of Lily's anger through what she might have said to Severus. :)
