Poem by minnabird

i. witch & wizard

This fountain is our voice.
This fountain is our choice.
Bright as the adoring eyes, the lies,
The gleam of dreams of unity.
We stand tall: we stand in might.

ii. goblin

Lies, lies, lies and tricks.
No goblin would make this affront:
Thinly-gilded brass,
shaped by human hands.
Lies. Humans and lies,
melded together in the forge of creation,
from the dawn of the world until now.
They cast us in false molds,
counterfeiting truth.

iii. centaur

i cannot see the stars.
no bright field of portents in view,
only two dull faces.
these are not my concern.
my concern lies above,
in the vast scattering of light,
the shining map of the future.
my concern lies with the herd,
the thunder of hooves, the rumble of voices
carrying the wisdom of my ancestors.
i cannot see the stars,
only the ephemeral now.

iv. house-elf

Master and Mistress stand silent.
No name has passed their lips,
No calling for this house elf.
This elf is -
I is -
I!
The only elf in long years of history,
I is the only elf
To speak in my own voice.

v. unison

We stand together.
We stand in harmony.
But look to your actions:
We do not stand true.
