Absentia

I will not say I miss you,
Though every year I drown in sorrow-
I will not say I miss you.

Your absence lingers behind, true,
And memories swarm every moment, yet
I will not say I miss you.

Within the realms of night's dark hue,
Nightmares flood the air of guilt.
I will not say I miss you.

When fear draws near, what could I do
But cast the silver doe so beautiful?
I will not say I miss you.

Time berates me, the fool I always knew
I was, leaving behind a soulless shell.
I will not say I miss you.

Now I wonder if evil has grasped my heart,
Wonder if what you said was true. But
I will not say I miss you.
I will not say I miss you.
