Pax Tecum (Peace Be With You)

Do not shed a tear, my love,
for my soul has only escaped
the mortal cage that bound it
all these years.
Do not cry, my love,
lest your sorrows seep
into the heavens
and weigh the stars down
with endless anguish.
And do not wallow, my love,
but let the possibilities arise,
let the positive thoughts flood in,
for as youâ€™ve always noted,
therein the wrackspurts cannot invade.
Oh, do not give up, my love-
do not let yourself
succumb.
