Why pick himself up?

Shattered and broken,
Bitten and maimed,

Universally blamed.
Quiet and cautious,
Alluring and kind,
Studious and clever,
In his right state of mind.
To untamed and wild,
As he seems to morph,
From kind to ferocious,
