Don't forget me when I'm gone
Though the dark path lies ahead
Think about the phoenix song
And my good old four poster bed

Remember my fame and all it included
How I loathed it so
Think of dreaded Rita Skeeter's debt
To Hermione - ah, let the memories flow!

Keep in mind my love of Quidditch
How I loved to fly
And how I loved to catch the Snitch
Soaring through the sky

Think of how I loved to spend
Time with all my friends
Hagrid's hut around the bend
Hedwig's beauty had no ends

Hermione and Ron my two greatest mates
The Weasleys taking me in as a son
Cho and I failing on all our dates
Till I found out that Ginny was the one

Keep in mind my sweet tooth
For none other than treacle tart
Introduced to me in my youth
I loved it with all my heart

Think of the Dursley's now
And how I used to hate them
Think of Dudley: the great cow
My aunt and uncle - I despised them

Think of my parents and how they loved me
I will always love them too
Think of how much I longed for them to see
How well on my own I could do

Remember Sirius, remember Dumbledore
And how I need them so
They were two of my greatest protectors
Why did they have to go?

Will that be me too? Will I be gone
With such little reminder?
I can't leave that way, this is has to be wrong
Can't my fate be any kinder?

And now I set of to find them
Yes, the Horcruxes must be sought out
I need to end this terrible war soon
And I seriously doubt

That I will be alone - I've got my friends
They'll be with me right to the end
I've lost my girl but I'll be back
I'd never truly give her the sack

It may seem that I'm by myself
Heck no! I say, “Don't be in doubt!
I'll be back shortly, just give me some time
To find the Dark Lord, vengeance shall be mine!”

What am I saying? This isn't me!
I just want my family!
Voldemort killed them, so now I'll kill him
This is my destiny, the prophecy says

Remember my life and how I came to be
The man I am today, the one you see
And remember this mostly, too:
Remember me if I shall never return to you
