Chasing darkness through the skies
Burning the clouds into dust
Counting the stars as they vanish.

Bidding goodbye to the starry net
That was the world to which it belonged
Where the song of night lives on.

Courage written in these lines
Yet as I analyze these words
I discover the cowardice I have.

Fighting to push away memories
