Stream of Consciousness
I thought the transition
From friends to lovers would be hard.
But it felt so natural.
I knew we were just waiting for the right time.
I need to be with you.
Does that make me delusional?
But why shouldn’t I react on my feelings?
I see in you a steady ground;
A sanctuary.
Your eyes emit a glint of blue when you get angry.
Did you know that?
I’ve always noticed those little things about you
And I’m sure you noticed them in me as well.
A person’s most attractive features
Are their heart and soul.
You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever known.
I see in you my kindred spirit;
My equal.
I admire how you’re never afraid of falling.
Not even when you’re facing the ground.
You’re always conscious of your surroundings.
You’re always alert.
Despite all of your woes and trials
You’re still sensitive and loving.
Your kiss and touch heals me.
I see in you my fantasy fulfilled;
My love.
