Well, I, James Potter, know better:
Green is the color of rage.
I've seen it in those eyes
Too many times to count.
In gorgeous emerald depths
How fast does anger mount!
All right, you know, I'll admit
It's probably mostly my fault.
She'd like me better, I bet
If I called my pranks to a halt.
Ah, this beautiful, perfect Lily!
What a vision in her ire!
What's said about redheads is true:
They've hair and tongue like fire.
Still, I can't help but wonder
If this pretty when she's raging
What lovely, transcendent goddess
Will she be when sweetly engaging?
For the sake of what could be
I'll surrender my tricky ways;
And hey, I might get lucky:
Love could blossom through the days.
Well, look at that, I'm right!
She ardently fancies me.
I needed to wisen up
And gain maturity.
We had a rocky start, yes;
Now our pure love could last an age
I'll always hold one belief, though:
