Chapter Notes: Narcissa did nothing as Bella and Lucius became Death Eaters and eventually thrown to Azkaban. But in Draco, she went out of her way to try to try to help him (although Draco definitely does not want her help) - in the end I do think she made a great difference by going to Snape.

Bella and Lucius were Death Eater and eventually sent to Azkaban for it. But when Draco sets forth to follow his father and aunt's footsteps...

A Sonnet about Narcissa

I watched as they led my sister to jail,
I only bowed my head and did nothing.
Turned a deaf ear as former colleagues wail.
Head held high although my heart was aching.

My husband captured and sent to prison,
I only bowed my head and did nothing.
And then the Dark Lord took my only son,
I can no longer sit back - heart aching.

Child to follow a family’s downfall,
Sit back no longer, a watcher no more.
Futile task to resist the Dark Lord’s call,
Yet I must act - cannot stand to lose more.

I held no great influence or power,
Only desperation of a mother.
