On the dirty, dusty
ground they gathered.
In the depths of night -
the moon didn't shine.

Their wands created
deathly images in my mind.
I shook hard and
their pale faces haunted me.

I looked up at them and
saw my future.

stood there quietly like

and I almost did too.

I saw the surprise
on their faces.

I stood
Anticipating.

I heard the curse and
heard it come.
Saw it whoosh by
my head.

I knew the second
one would hit
the mark - me.
And it did because
