Why?
That is the question I ask myself every night
Why would he tell me this lie?
The answer is not in my sight.
He stole my heart,
And I his,
But now he has made me only a part,
And it is him that I miss.
He told me he couldn’t.
He said he wanted to protect me,
I told him I wouldn’t,
Some how I’d make him see.
Now I wait,
For him to change his mind,
And redirect my fate,
If only he would be so kind.
I thought we were in love,
Maybe we still are,
Possibly a sign from above,
Will heal my scar.
