Through the forest,
Hoofbeats sound.
Unicorn feet
Upon the ground.
Murdered beauty,
Lying lifeless.
Blood stolen,
By the heartless.
A cursed life,
For the death
Of an innocent,
That drew its last breath.
Only a demon
Would think of trying,
To fell a unicorn
Its mourners crying.
Not the first or last
Departed soul
From the wand of one
Who isn't whole.
But there is hope,
In a teenage boy
To end evil's rule,
Bring peace and joy.
He bears a scar,
But keeps a life
And he shall end
The war and strife.
So let us hope
That good will reign,
And unicorns can
Be safe again.
