Chapter Notes: Okay, agian, not my usual style. I felt my fan fiction poem collection would not be complete without a view on this crucial part of the series. And, as always, R/R!
Disclaimer:I own nothing while J.K. owns it all.

To find a way to defy mortality,

No matter what the cost.

His cunning skill, handsome face,

Disguises the painful secret.

The silent screams never heard,

Have no effect on a shattered soul.

While the truth hides behind a moulded mask,

His conscience gone,

Forever in the distance,

Far out of reach.

All to stay on this earth forever more.

One Horcrux turns greedily into two,

The ring of gold now holds,

A shard of his destroyed life.

Along with the people who,

Brought his cold breath to this world.

Then on to a gullible descendent,

Handing Tom all of his wishes.

She pays terribly for her deed,

The hand of death steals her soul.

With the locket and cup close at hand,

He’s one step closer to his dark prize.

Now on to the height of power,

A startling prophecy arises.

Someone stands in his way,

A baby boy.

On that fateful October night,

He steps up to the silent door,

Five Horcruxes in his possession.

Entering the quiet home, he sees a man,

A mere ant in his path.

As the man struggles to protect,

The ones he loves,

A flash of green,

Ends the fight.

On up the stairs,

A beautiful woman stands.

She screams for her son’s mercy.

Tom attempts to spare her life,

For the heavy price of her young baby.

The silly girl refuses still,

“Avada Kedavera” rings,

Through the still night.

Now all that is left is the small boy,

Frightened by the sounds of murder.

Tom Riddle raises a wand,

And screeches the two deadly words.

Flashes of green light,

Sounds of speeding death,

And a sensation of,

Being ripped from his body.

All by one tick of a slipping second.

The legend of Tom Riddle exists no more,

He had passed along his prized powers,

And his fame,

To a common boy who,

Now bears a curious scar.

To speak the supposed vanquishing,

Of the mighty Dark Lord,

Of Lord Voldemort.
