The Ones Who Cannot Speak by Bane of Severus

Is there something to be said for those who do not make it?
For the ones who cannot speak?
Should they be revered and recalled fondly?
Or be forgotten because they are weak?
What of the ones who do not beat the disease?
They are overcome and fall into the crease
The unending stereotype with no release
The constant tide that will not cease
Should numbness be bestowed?
Blind, cruel, unfeeling hatred?
No, for surely they have not reaped what they have sowed
True, they were kind in life but now are dead
This is all irrevocably true
The cycle repeating through and through
I will continue on to find the respect I seek
