Humanity i love you
because you would rather children of men be
carbon-copies and not their own
manuscripts because then you
know what's on the other
side of the equation and
no one has to be a judge
of character
Humanity i love you because
when something like tragedy happens
you call it tragedy and fill in the
details with the old lines and reasons
that have always worked before
no matter that the plot's filled with
holes and more villains
than you bargained for
Humanity i love you because you
are eternally crowning the
evil and condemning the good
and wondering why our race
is falling
into wars and death and
self-extermination Humanity
i hate you
