It is early in the morning
I wake up from the light
And just for a moment
Everything seems alright.
I am with my friends
A conversation going on
And I can feel in my bones
Soon the ambivalence will be gone
While eating my lunch
It is suddenly clear
He’s coming home soon!
The end is near.
I sit on the porch
And stare at the sky
All is calm
And I do know why
A form then appears
Through the dark haze
He looks familiar,
I think, in a daze
He calls out my name
My heart takes a leap
I want to run to him,
But I can’t move my feet
It’s been such a long time
Since his hand’s been in mine
Since the time we were fighting
Side by side
Much has changed
Since my Hogwarts years
But I’m still here
There’s nothing to fear
Reunited at last!
Harry and I
I am so happy
A tear falls from my eye.
Even though I’m now paralyzed
From the waist down
Harry still loves me
He says without a frown.
It’s early, again
I awake from the light
With him here I know
Everything is alright.
