With just two words
Two lives were ended
And snatched away
From the son they tended.
With just two words
A gardener did fall
And lay still inside
The Riddle house wall.
With just two words
At a Hufflepuff boy
Peter Pettigrew took
Amos Diggory's joy.
With just two words
And a face full of hate
Snape pointed his wand
And sealed Dumbledore's fate.
With just two words
Voldemort sought to end
The love of Ginny's life
And Ronald Weasley's friend.
But he stopped dead short;
He was unable to speak
Those two fatal words
His knees became weak.
For surrounding Harry Potter
Was a magic he never knew-
The love and the encouragement
Of all his friends true.
So the curse, it rebounded
And his life was at an end.
Harry Potter had been saved
By the love of his friends.
