The Last Black
A son was born to blood that was so true;
To rank and wealth his family was fast bound.
He did not share their hate, this boy soon found:
He came to school, but did not follow through.
Instead he broke his ties to start anew.
Fast friends he made, their escapades renowned.
But tragedies did soon come to abound:
A friend was lost, a man betrayed untrue.
For thirteen years he suffered for the crime;
A rat, the traitor, hiding from dread fate.
Escaping he set out to end his tale;
But one day soon, alas, would come the time:
To save his godson from the hands of hate,
The last Black then fell slowly through the veil.
