Light faded to darkness
As I awaited the kiss.
There was nothing left for me
For I was unable to see.
I fought for the wrong side.
At my hands many died.
I watched families mourn
And looked on with scorn.
The creature is getting closer now.
I can feel its breath upon my brow.
I can no longer defend.
This is truly the end.
