Chapter Notes: This story has gone Limerick style. It’s a story Limerick about Harry’s life, and my thoughts on the final battle. The entire thing is actually in rhyme form, and it is my first submission in the Poetry category, so please - tell me what you think!
There once was a school of young kids,
Who were scared of the Death Eater’s bids.
They slept with some fright,
In the dead of night,
Which actually is when they hid.

You say that you may wonder why,
These grown kids are so scared to die.
His name is all-feared,
With his sneer he would jeer,
Voldemort is the name of this guy.

Harry Potter was such a young boy,
He definitely didn’t jump for some joy.
He lived among Muggles,
All the chores did he juggle,
He wondered what all was a ploy.

When the door came down with a bang,
Of course no doorbell was rang.
A man named Hagrid,
Whose clothes were quite ragged,
Told him of his Wizarding gang.

He was told the story of his mum and dad,
Of how their death was really quite bad.
His Aunt Petunia had lied,
It wasn’t she who had died,
It made this Harry pretty mad.

He was told he was the Chosen One,
No, it really wasn’t a pun.
He had defeated Lord Voldemort,
His mind he did sort,
He felt like he wanted to run.

As he ventured into their world,
There was always an obstacle hurled.
When he met his two mates,
Ron and Hermione were first rate,
He had finally started to unfurl.

The Wizarding World was rough,
His first year had certainly been tough.
He had become Seeker,
He blew through Potions with a beaker,
At the end he did huff and puff.

He defeated Voldemort again,
Of course, he did win.
Gryffs had won the House crown,
The Slytherins went down,
He was the envy of all the men.

Towards his second he did find out,
Mr. Filch surely could pout.
His cat had been strung,
On a pole she had hung,
Petrified by a lot of tout.

He had saved a life back then,
Oh, it was the sweetest sin.
He had thought she was dead,
Ginny Weasley, a redhead,
But in the cave of Tom Riddle she had been.

He had saved her with Godric’s blade,
The Basilisk’s life would soon fade.
Harry plunged it in deep,
His reward would soon reap,
They would have died if they would have stayed.

He’d always nearly died,
Never the rules did he abide.
It came at a price,
When in his year thrice,
He came upon a Black that did hide.

Sirius had not tried to kill,
He really had not the will.
Peter had been the mouse,
Who had betrayed his house
To the Death Eater’s murderous bill.

Of course he had gotten away,
Peter was still the beetle at bay.
Harry had let Sirius go,
He had not been the foe,
He was gone by the end of the day.

Professor Lupin had been fired,
And another DADA teacher was hired.
The end of the year came,
Harry had received some more fame,
Everyone had ended it tired.

In his fourth year did exist,
A tournament that had no assist.
Harry was made to compete,
Three other champions to beat,
His friend Ronald was the one to be pissed.

At the end Voldemort came back,
The DADA teacher was sacked.
Cedric Diggory was killed,
The deal, it was sealed,
Everyone was taken aback.

Harry’s fourth year came and went,
Yet back home he was sent.
He had nightmares a lot,
Teased by Dudley he got,
But came no news or no hint.

His fifth year did roll by,
An eventful one, but why?
A toad-like woman did come,
Harry’s hand did she numb,
He wished that she would just die.

Ron had soared through the ring,
Making Malfoy and crones sing.
The Slytherins did chant,
On and on did they rant,
‘Weasley is our King’.

Sirius Black had been killed,
His destiny, fulfilled.
He had saved his mates,
Rescuing their fates,
Harry had certainly reeled.

Sirius had not come back as a ghost.
Harry felt it nothing to boast.
He had cracked two mirrors,
Increasing his fears,
Realising he wanted Sirius most.

In his sixth year, it had been dark.
On it stung the Death Eater’s mark.
People had died,
What a crazy ride,
There had been no Sirius to bark.

Now you may be wondering about,
What Dean and Ginny were to amount.
Harry and Ron did see,
But at a small fee,
The couple making out.

Lavender was the girlfriend of Ron,
She liked to call him Won-Won.
They always would snog,
They sounded like hogs,
But Ron made them break up anon.

Ginny Weasley and Harry Potter,
There was debate on which one was hotter.
They then got together,
But under the weather,
They broke up when they started to totter.

Dumbledore and Harry did go,
Right into the cave of a foe.
A Horcrux they sought,
Inferi they fought,
In a small boat that they had to row.

When they had gotten back to school,
Dumbledore knew he’d been a fool.
Malfoy had snuck in,
And committed the biggest sin,
Having Death Eater’s wasn’t that cool.

By the end of the night,
All they had done was fight.
Bill had been mauled,
Mrs. Weasley had bawled,
The school’s safety was not at its height.

The kids in their bed,
Were unaware of the dead.
Dumbledore was killed,
The Death Eater’s billed,
Everyone just hung his or her head.

Voldemort causes much woe,
When he murders he causes a blow.
To these children’s poor heads,
Lucky they’re not dead,
He really now was the worst foe.

The Dementors are running amok,
When they kill, out your soul they do suck.
These inhabitants they led,
Now worse than now dead,
These people have just run out of luck.

Harry pulled out his wand to defeat,
The Dark Lord that he needed to beat.
For all of his friends,
And family and kin,
It was a most accomplishable feat.

Harry succeeded Voldemort’s slay,
He honestly had saved the day.
Everyone had cheered,
Yet Harry’s scar seared,
He knew that he would pay.

Harry lost a lot of his friends,
There was no way of making amends.
He was saddened beyond a doubt,
But yet, he stayed stout,
Voldemort had performed his last sins.

This isn’t a lot to go on,
These kids aren’t having much fun.
Now Voldy is dead,
The kids in their beds,
And that’s why this rhyme is now done.
