Chapter Notes: I cried for every single hero's death in Book 7. So this is for them.
In Loving Memory

A poem dedicated to the fallen in Deathly Hallows.
May they forever rest in peace in our hearts.

Hedwig—
Just a white owl,
But Harry’s best friend.
Not only a loss,
But his childhood’s end.

Mad-Eye Moody—
A tough scarred man
Who’d been straight through hell;
To keep Harry safe,
Through black darkness fell.

Dobby—
A free house elf
Indebted for life;
As thanks for freedom,
Took Lestrange’s knife.

Fred Weasley—
Famed prankster twin
Put Perce back in place;
Went down true to form,
A smile on his face.

Severus Snape—
Dumbledore’s man
He was through and through;
He died a cruel death,
With Voldy still fooled.

Remus Lupin—
Father and husband,
A beloved friend,
The last Marauder;
Loyal to the end.

Nymphadora Tonks—
Hated her name,
Was Remus’s bride;
Pink-haired she loved him,
And fell at his side.

Colin Creevey—
That camera kid
From five long years past
Should not have been there,
But sadly died last.

All these and more
Knew what was at stake;
But still knowing that,
Died for Harry’s sake.

Because of them,
The end could begin;
Thanks to their love, the
Dark Lord couldn’t win.

We loved them all
And cried for a few;
We couldn’t believe
For a page or two.

Now they are gone,
But they’ll always be
In their resting place
In fond memories.

And yet...

One thing I know;
I’ll bet this last wage:
To see them again,
Just turn the page...
