Chapter Notes: A/N: Well, all, I don't own Harry Potter. (Big shocker there.)

Immeasurable thanks to bertiebott12 and Colores for beta-ing this.

“You can’t lose what you never had”
If only that were true.
Because things really are that black,
In my world of blue.

Watch the sands in the hourglass,
Slowly counting down.
To the loss of all innocence,
On this murky ground.

It’s a shame, really,
For something so beautiful to go to waste.
But there’s nothing I can do, ‘cause maybe
I came just a little too late.

I couldn’t save you,
No matter how hard I tried.
Couldn’t pull you back
From the ocean’s side.
And when you jumped,
I died inside.
A figure rippling on the water ”
You gave up the fight.

It didn’t have to end this way,
I was there behind you.
You didn’t have to take your life,
So he would never find you.

So much for bravery
And chivalry
And daring
And nerve.
For such a hero
What a coward you were.

Author's Note: This is written from Ginny's POV. In case it wasn't clear, Harry was the one who jumped and killed himself to avoid Voldemort. (I have no idea why in my poems he's always dead.)

This is not meant to be offensive in any way to anyone. Harry is being called a coward because he ran away from his destiny to fight Voldemort. I know that this is improbable, but before DH it was a possiblity.

So, did you like the angst? Or was it rubbish?
