Chapter Notes: I wrote this in my geometry class (yeah, I know: bad girl, not paying attention, but, hey, I've got to do SOMETHING to keep me from stressing about my test). Thanks to my friends who edited it (especially Kingsley (nickname) for pointing out that I spelled "infinite" wrong).
I am waiting,
Waiting for you to return to me.

Though this world is a beautiful thing,
It is you and your beauty that I want to see.

Without you, daylight seems dimmer,
Without you by my side, I am lost.

In my mind, your smile does shimmer,
But to see it again would be of infinite cost.

For you are alive, still,
In a world I cannot return to.

It seems wrong to wait for a kill,
But that’s what it would take to reunite me with you.

They say that death brings peace,
But all leaving you behind brings is pain.

I do not want you to feel that release,
Yet I want to see you again.

Be careful, my love,
I am watching over you.

Look at the stars up above,
Even from another world, I can see them, too.

Someday my waiting will end,
And we’ll be together again, my friend.
