Bellatrix
She was always beautiful with her pale skin and her dark hair,
And though prison made her lose this, she really didn’t care.
Her family’s pureblood values convinced her Voldemort was right,
And due to this belief, she would always stand and fight.
She fought hard and brave until the end, but since her ways were wrong,
A curse hit her and she lost it all; she lay dead before long.
Narcissa
She never was a Death Eater but she still shared their beliefs.
Her husband and her son joined them though not to her relief.
Voldemort put her son to an impossible mission
As revenge for what her husband did: he ended up in prison.
And in the end she had strong love for her one and only son,
So betrayed her master, which didn’t matter, yet the other side had won.
Regulus
The son of two crazed purebloods who were all about their race;
He joined the Death Eaters but wasn’t sure what he would have to face.
Then Voldemort insisted that he sacrifice his elf,
But Regulus refused and instead gave up himself.
He disappeared without a trace; the world thought he’d been killed
While fighting for the Dark Lord because he really wasn’t skilled.
Sirius
He was always the oddball, the one who didn’t agree.
He thought his family’s ways were bad to the highest degree.
He ran away from home one day when he was just sixteen.
He couldn’t handle anymore of his parents’ crazy dreams.
He was never on the dark side though accused of crimes had been his fate,
And few others realized his innocence until it was too late.
Andromeda
The middle Black sister betrayed her family for marrying a Muggle-born.
She broke tradition and therefore caused her family to be torn.
She truly didn’t care when her name was burned away.
She disappeared from the family tree without getting any say.
She had a single daughter, but when her daughter died,
She raised her only grandson; on her he relied.
Nymphadora
The daughter of Andromeda never knew her family.
Her mother’s betrayal allowed her to live openly and free.
She was a spunky girl with Metamorphmagus powers.
She’d sit around and change her looks for hours after hours.
She fell in love and had a son but then the tragedy struck:
She was killed the night of the final battle due to unfortunate luck.
The Black family was never perfect; its members were divided,
And it seemed that no matter what, they’d never be united.
They chose their paths and learned their ways, believing they were right.
Because of this they never gave in and always put up fight.
Eventually the family would die out and not exist,
Because all of the members chose to fight or to resist.
While some were good and some were bad, they had their destinies—
Whether burned away or still left on the ancient family tree.
