My name is Mandy Brocklehurst,
Ravenclaw's my house.
My name is not mentioned much,
Like I'm hardly more than a dormouse.
My best friend is Lisa Turpin,
She’s in my house too.
We giggle and talk and gossip,
Just like all other girls do.
We are quite smart students,
Even though we don’t get much credit.
We always try our hardest,
Professor Flitwick even said it.
We may not be Hermione,
Or a spunky Weasley,
But we are still real people,
Who are often ignored easily.
So forget Harry, Hermione and Ron,
And spare a thought for us.
Though we really doubt you’d care
If we were run over by the Knight Bus.
We may not be much talked about,
But we want you to see,
It’s not all adventure and romance,
Or doing things that shout ‘me, me, me!’
So please take the time to think,
Of those who don’t have a say.
Though our lives are completely normal,
We wouldn’t have it any other way!
