Chapter Notes: Much thanks to my stellar beta, Flobberworm93, whose help has greatly improved this poem.

As always, I do not own Harry Potter.
You saved me once when I was but a year
On Halloween, that dark and fatal night.
You stayed with me for ten long years out here,
Then followed me to school and helped me fight.

With me and the Dursleys, you stayed ten years,
Those awful people shunned my very life.
Then in the graveyard, you soothed all my fears.
You brought me courage and a guiding light.

You tricked me once or twice, fifth year was cruel.
Cho Chang was wrong for me, you knew always.
I spent near five years acting like a fool,
But then to Ginny I did find my way.

O! wondrous love, like the love of a mother
Or father, sister, friend, husband, brother.
Chapter Endnotes: This is a sonnet, which includes three quatrains and one concluding couplet. It is also in iambic pentameter. That means that it's supposed to follow a duh-Dah duh-Dah type of rhythm, like a heartbeat. The 'pentameter' part means that it has five 'duh-DAH's.

Thank you for reading!
