You fight gallantly,
Your eyes ablaze with love,
In this battle you know will be lost.
Spying me,
You let down your guard,
Your expression revealing
Loss, love and anxiousness.
In those few seconds,
He takes advantage;
The spell he casts strikes your heart,
Piercing it like a poisonous arrow
Released from the deathly bow.
You fall for an eternity
And I am dying bit by bit,
As you finally hit the ground.
My scream pierces the air
As I run to you; the shell of you.
But it is a scream no one hears,
As they all fight the battle
I am now oblivious to.
I look into your eyes, dead and unseeing,
Seeing myself reflected in them.
Can they not become alive again;
Alive with the love and passion
You once felt, as we were family?
My heart is torn, if not gone,
Yet I feel the need to fight
For our baby.
I tear myself from you,
And my soul is in two pieces as I leave you.
Knowing this is the last time
I shall lay eyes on you,
I whisper a final goodbye,
Though it is one you cannot hear.
She steps in front of me as I stand,
Her black eyes glinting maliciously
Underneath wild black hair,
So untamed,
Just as is the beast that resides
Within her.
Her voice cackles,
Screeching on the wind,
Relish and taunts inflicted in it;
She knows she will soon have
The revenge she’s been seeking forever.
Every spell I cast is a miss,
As all my mind focuses on my love,
Gone forever, and safe at home,
How I yearn for both,
But cannot have them.
I give in,
Realising loss is all I can take,
The only way we can
Truly win this.
The spell pierces my heart,
Like a poisonous arrow
Released from the deathly bow,
And all is dark,
As I am truly at piece
And in Hell.
