She feels the same as him but does not know,
Why instead of telling he won't confide,
Like him, she keeps her feelings down quite low.
A mane of tangled, bushy brunette hair,
Hides her face as she bends over aged books,
He's always watching her as she sits there,
And he's always giving her loving looks.
He doesn't know, but when he looks away,
She stares at him and smiles so brightly.
Both of their close friends stand by and they stay
Quite far away and make comments lightly.
True love is blossoming out in plain sight,
But they'll not see it 'til the time is right.
