Story Notes:

Hello! It's been about a month since I uploaded any poetry, so I thought I'd put this in. I hope you like it, I did spend a lot of time on it! As always, I do not own Harry Potter, or any fictional book character. So, here it is!
Chapter Notes: Enjoy!
The sky, sky, sky,
Oh, it is indigo,
Oh why, why, why,
Why’d he have to go?

This place is just like death,
Cold and lonely,
My shallow soundless breath,
It tells the story.

And all the people…
There are few things that I know,
Look at all the people…
One thing that I know.

I see my brother’s face,
It tells me so,
I am not a child,
Any longer.

Guess I lost the race,
Forgot to go,
I am not a child,
But I don’t feel stronger.

Child no more,
Child no more.

Settle the score,
I am a child no more.

This night, night, night,
I can’t block out the screams,
Of the fight, fight, fight,
Stretches on eternally it seems.

How is this all the same?
Why is the world still turning?
They cannot see the flames,
But inside I’m burning.

And there are so many people,
But I feel so completely alone,
What’s with all the people?
Just leave me alone!

I see my brother’s face,
It tells me so,
I am not a child,
Any longer.

Guess I lost the race,
Forgot to go,
I am not a child,
But I don’t feel stronger.

Child no more,
Child no more.

Cannot ignore,
I am a child no more.

This long, long, long,
Night that will not end,
This is wrong, wrong, wrong,
Not where I might have been.

And tears slip down my cheeks,
And all the weakness is there,
I cannot stop this thing,
And I… just don’t care!

Living, breathing people,
And my feet that won’t run,
Dead, dead, I scream to the people,
Flaming, rising sun…

Yes, my brother’s face,
See it, and I know,
I am not a child,
Any longer.

Never was a race,
Lost it when I forgot to go,
Yeah, I’m not a child
And I’m still not stronger.

Child no more,
Child no more,
Child no more,
Not anymore.
Chapter Endnotes: Once again, I hoped you liked it. Tell me what you think, if you are so inclined... -Eva
