Story Notes:

Thanks to Azhure for beta'ing!

I am not rolling, and neither am I Rowling,
The amazing Harry Potter I definitely own... notter?
That was a bad rhyme (unlike what you're about to see in the actual poem), but what I want to say is that I don't own Harry Potter, J K Rowling does-- I'm just borrowing some of her characters and places for a while.
Chapter Notes: As I said in the summary, I've tried to emulate Dr Seuss in some parts of this poem, and though I haven't managed to come even close to his brand of insane greatness, I've done my best, and I hope you like this poem.

Rebellion!

The headmaster of Hogwarts sits down to eat
Jerky and jams and jelly blue as the sky!
And in the middle of it all sits a blueberry pie,
Large and luscious and lurid-- oh my!

Taking a large knife, he cuts out a piece,
Dripping and drooling and dry and yummy--
But then out of the pie, for everyone to see,
Come fwoopers and firecrabs and even a fairy!

Opening his mouth in shock, the headmaster stares,
At the beasts and beings and the student body,
There is complete chaos now, anyone can see,
With an eye or an ear or an aunt named Nellie.

All of a sudden, from under the tables,
Burst house-elves, and house-elves and house-elves more.
Filling the hall, from table to door,
'We rebel!' they scream from down at the floor.

'A pay raise, more holidays, less work,' they say.
'No cooking or cleaning or even a chore!
Working day and working night is such a bore--
Meet our demands, or you'll see real gore!'

The teachers say nothing, nothing at all;
Instead they look, survey and see,
Silently sipping cups of tea.
And then they say, in one voice-- 'Hermione!'

Chapter Endnotes: I hope you enjoyed reading it, I definitely did enjoy writing it.
