Story Notes: This poem was written for a creative writing class I am currently taking at university. The aim was to write a sestina and I chose to amalgamate the tutorial exercise with the Magic in Music challenge that was running in Poetry Anyone (the poetry forum on the beta boards) at the time. It is based upon the piece, Hermione's Parents, composed by Alexandre Desplat for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One film score.
The poem is written in the form of a sestina.
