Discovery
A glance across the room, a look returned;
A smile, a nod, a flutter in his heart.
Not much, perhaps, and yet for more he yearned.
For now he had that smile: it was a start.
A meeting in the hall, a warm rapport;
A laugh, a touch, not meaning to entice.
Friendship now, though still he longed for more.
For now he had that laugh: it would suffice.
And then it changed, at Quidditch late one night.
They flew so high, their souls on fire with bliss;
Laughing, playing, joyful in their flight,
And then another look, a nod--a kiss.
Two lips, two hands, two hearts then met as one:
Their new-found love to never come undone.
