Story Notes:

This is my second attempt at poetry for Mugglenet. Reviews are greatly appreciated, and I would love to hear your opinion. :)
Chapter Notes: Rhymes are always really infuriating for me, so I had to put a lot of work into this one. Thanks to Gina and Sophie for encouraging me to experiment with punctuation!

Upon the windy hillside stood a fearsome beast.
It loomed against the horizon, as the sun rose in the east.
Startling gray eyes held a certain fire,
Yearning for freedom; A desperate wish so dire...

The animal had grown tired of the human restraints.
With every passing day its desire became less faint...
Finally it took action, and leapt towards the sky with delight;
A joyful screech tore through the silence as the animal took flight.

The quiet atmosphere was broken by its cries of glee.
Because it answered nature's call, the Hippogriff was free!

A young witch observed the entire scene, her eyes wide with wonder;
A sudden inspiration began to bloom as the Hippogriff flew yonder.
Could she break away from home? Is it as easy as it seems?
But surely it wasn't wise to leave in pursuit of doubtful dreams...

She could not break the chains that bound her to her home;
How would she ever survive? She couldn't have a life of her own.
But soon the walls slowly began to suffocate...
With much determination she finally made an escape.

No longer are there boundaries, no longer are there ropes...
She may pursue her dreams because the Hippogriff gave hope!
