Story Notes:

This follows the story of Minerva when she left the Muggle Dougal McGregor because she feared her life would mirror her mother's mistakes.
With Silent Wounds

The moody clouds shed unchecked tears.

In their presence, she sits alone,
drenched by the icy rain
that has frozen her pleasant dreams,
now forever silent
and keeping afresh the old wounds.

Tender are the festering wounds,
her heart pleading with aching tears
from all the memories deadly silent
and the desire to not be left alone.

She is wandering, lost, among her dreams,
shivering in the chilly rain.

In repose, she gazes at the rain
seeping into the raw wounds;
marriage and love are but the ghost of dreams
now enclosed in her chaste tears
that stream down her cheeks alone,
mournful, depressing, ever silent.

She keeps her sacred secrets silent,
thinking of him farming in the rain
as a handsome figure in the fields alone,
not knowing he inflicts in her wounds,
not knowing he instills fearful tears
while existing in her agonizing dreams.

He has his own dreams
and they have never been silent -
and he will not be allowed to see her tears
falling thickly as the rain.

She does not want fatal wounds
to arise from their union; so alone
is a path she considers, but alone
is filled with terrifying dreams,
filled with proud and fearful wounds
cast by guilt so ever silent.

The choice is but a single drop of rain
followed by the vale of tears,
her wounds pressing against confines silent.

Now she is alone with naught but dreams,
sorrowful rain flooding her heart with tears.
