Godric's Hollow

The tender brushing
Of soft, velvety snowflakes
Thinly coating stone.

The brisk, cool air appealing,
Inviting, so calm,
Bespeaks of new Christmas life.

In the center tall -
A babe lain in his parent's
Ne'er ending embrace.

And in the midst of bliss peace
Lays shattered ruins,
Attests to the evil world.

A fresh snowfall,
Silent and loving tonight,
Wraps warmth round your soul.

*This poem is dedicated to BrokenPromise, because she pushed me to try for shorter poetry. It is also dedicated to minnabird who urged me to go for more structured forms of poetry. Thank you, guys, for being such wonderful friends!
Chapter Endnotes: Ah, the wondrous realm of structured poetry. :)
