A Restless Wait
A crimson sky dawns on a morning restless.
She rushes to her son; the night has passed in peace,
But her breathing beats with the ticking time.
In rooted denial, she pretends that time
Will pass slowly, yet still, she's restless,
And she pens a letter to find some peace.
Her dreams are wrapped in one desire - a phial of peace
To allow her an eternal lifetime
With her son. Her hope is increasingly restless.
Ever restless, she yearns for that peace, wishing for a little more time.
