Susan Bones Book Club. I am the leader of this fun little group. Each month the SBBC chooses two to three fics from the archives to discuss. We also have monthly drabble activities and an incredibly lively chat thread. We accept new members at all times so if you're interested go and take a look. Consequentially Yours by Nyruserra

Rated: Professors • Past Featured Story
Summary: It's a rescue, really. At least, that's what Fred and George Weasley manage to convince him of. After all, Hermione is sure to be a target for revenge seeking Purebloods - what could any right-minded Wizard do but step in to help?

An Oliver Wood/Hermione Granger Romance

Staring Back by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Charlie Weasley and Penelope Clearwater were a mismatch made under Romanian skies one starlit night. They'd made no promises, except one: to see if they could make it work.

But what neither of them had counted on were ghosts from the past threatening their future before it had started.

This follow up to Mirrors is for Julia (the opaleye) because not only did she suggest the original pairing, but it is her birthday (well it was, I'm a tad late)

I'm not JK Rowling. She has more money, grace and style.

Tea Behind Bars by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Shaking free of one's chains is never easy. Least of all, for Draco Malfoy.

This story received a 2014 QSQ award for Best General Story, one-shot. Thanks!

Disclaimer: I am not J.K. Rowling. (Duh.)

Dedication: I wrote this for Carole/Equinox Chick, because I've wanted to write her a birthday fic for three years and failed, because her encouragement has meant more to me than she could possibly know, and because she told me to write more Draco. (What?) She's also Mistress of The Brawl, from whence this fic came.

A Palisade of Persuasion by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: It was true that Daphne and Lee had met at a most inappropriate time, but they had found love, lust and the glimmerings of a life together.

But the power of persuasion should never be underestimated. When they meet again, years later, his indifference cuts to her core. Can the past ever truly be recaptured?

This story is a present for Julia (the opaleye) because she is amazingly talented and has inspired me in so many ways. It is also her brthday.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling.

I am not Jane Austen.

I am not Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger or Posh.

Disclaimer: This story is inspired by William Shakespeare’s Much Ado about Nothing, but you don’t need to be familiar with the play -- everyone’s invited! This is also my 100th story on the archives, my biggest fanfic till date, and it might just end up being my own darling swansong. I hope that if you click on it, you’ll enjoy it.

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: How Umbridge sees herself and wants to be seen - a speculation in prose poem form.

Winner of this year's Anniversary Challenge at Poetry, Anyone?

This one has real text.

This is the most pretentious summary I've ever written O.,O

The nose-bleeding smiley should downplay the pretentiousness a little.

Forgetting to Live by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: It was supposed to be a New Year's Eve party to heal the rifts in the Magical World, but as he stood at the bar, a glass of champagne in his hand, all Harry felt was weariness. Then chance (or perhaps destiny) decided to play, and Harry was thrust into the company of the one person he had no intention of healing anything with.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. She would not write this and probably wouldn't approve.

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my entry into the There's Snow Such Thing as Magic Challenge ~Bonus Prompt - The Mistletoe Rag Challenge.

To Dwell On Dreams by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: 'Sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror or a window, and I do not recognise the face staring back. Even the eyes, which never truly change, seem dulled in comparison to what they once were.

It is not age that dulled them but you, and him, and her, and the myriad of dreams that came to nothing.'

Albus Dumbledore dwells on his life, and love, and the Hogwarts' students he shaped.

This story is for Natalie (hestiajones) because it is her birthday and she is a fantastic friend. Have a good one, my love.

Disclaimer: I'm not JK Rowling. I think that's obvious.

Thank you very much, Kara (Karaley Dargen) for beta'ing this story and helping me rethink bits. :)

Rest In The Bed by welshdevondragon

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:
"This is the last night I will spend in our flat. I have spent sixty-nine nights here without you, and I can only manage one more."

....

"I can't remember falling out of love with you. I've just--I've just fallen in love with someone else, so maybe what we had wasn't love in the first place."

Lily is leaving the flat she and Scorpius shared for five years, in the hope that she can move on. Some things, however, are hard to forget.

This story is for Soraya, since it is partially her fault, and also because she deserves many stories of higher quality than this.

Title from the Laura Marling song of the same name, which is also the song played during this story.
