My name is Jessica- I'm 15 and live in England, where the sun doesn't shine and we're not short of rain. I aspire to be a doctor or a journalist, and if I'm very lucky I hope to do something theatrical or I want to act. Yeah, there's a wide variaty there.

I'm an avid writer and reader. I don't have much time do to either of those things though lately, what with an insane amount of GCSE's coming up. However, I still find the time somewhere- the real world doesn't see to much of me.

I absoloutly adore Harry Potter and it has been a second life for me and one my inspirations for everything. I am a canon shipper though I don't mind a little bit on well-written non-canon stuff. However, I do believe Draco/dark pit of despair and Voldemort/dark pit of even worse despair through and through.

I'm a friendly person who loves pretty much everyone. My friends are my family and my writing is my escape.

As Happily Ever After As They're Gonna Get by cjbaggins

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.

Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.

Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.

Shrouds by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Not all Voldemort’s victims were on the side of right.

Over a year has passed since the Battle of Hogwarts. Families grieve, but their dead are remembered with honour.

For Draco Malfoy it has been a year of nothing. Merely existing, he is bound tightly to his past as if enveloped in a shroud, unwilling to accept help. It takes a chance encounter on a cobbled street to jerk him into the realisation that he cannot go on like this. A chance encounter with the one person who has most cause to hate him.

But shrouds, however tightly bound, unravel.

A huge thank you to Natalie (hestiajones) who put her laminated canon card in jeopardy by beta'ing this fic and being very supportive all the way through.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. Her lawyers agree, so please don't mistake us. I just like taking the odd liberty (ahem) with her characters (and pairings)

Nominated for two QSQ's in Best Non-Canon Romance and also Best Post Hogwarts story for 2011. Thank you.

The Dunnest Smoke of Hell by Scarlet Crystal

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry Potter lies face down in the dirt, surrounded by a ring of Death Eaters in the Forbidden Forest. Narcissa Malfoy approaches, lowering hand to the boy's chest to see if he yet lives. Everyone knows what happens next: Narcissa announces Lord Voldemort's triumph as Harry plays dead. What if, in this crucial moment, Bellatrix did not trust her feckless sister? What if she strode past her celebratory comrades and knelt by the Dark Lord's fallen enemy, wishing to feel for herself the absence of the boy's heartbeat? This is the story of that tragic turn of events.
