Whats a 41-year-old mother of three doing writing Harry Potter fan fiction? If youre here reading my bio, then you probably already know. It doesnt matter how young or old we are; were all here because Harry Potter inspires us to write, to read, and to learn more about Rowlings world and the people and creatures who inhabit it.

My true immersion into HP fandom came with the discovery of Mugglenet and Mugglenet fan fiction. Before long, I was hooked, visiting almost daily for updates on my favorite authors, to search for new favorites, and more recently to seek writing advice and fellowship over at the Beta forums. Finally, inspired by my rereading of HBP, I decided to offer my own interpretations of various characters and events.

None of us makes any money writing fan fiction, but its amazingly satisfying all the same. Id like to think, moreover, that with each new offering I have validated my writing skills improve a little more. In any case, Ill keep writing and hopefully so will you, and together we will fill the spaces between and around the action depicted in Rowlings celebrated series!

House Affiliation: Ravenclaw

My ships: Albus/Minerva, Remus/Tonks, Severus/Narcissa, Severus/grown-up Hermione, Severus/grown-up Luna, Severus/various OCs: Clancy, Maeve, Patricia (see LariLees A Right Bastard)

I am a proud Potions & Pineapple shipper, a devoted follower of S.I.C.K., and a first-time participant in S.N.A.P.E.! Visit Vocalion's
Highly Improbable Journal for more information.

Concerning Snape: I was right!

Curse of the Reapers by deanine

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: A different sort of alternate universe... It is a world under the thumb of an ancient emperor. Muggle society has been oppressed beyond recognition. Wizards rule over all, their only laws defined by power. This is the story of a rebellion, a family, a traitor, and the long road that leads home at last.

Voices That Linger In Dusty Old Photographs by The Half Blood Prince

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A short character-study exploring Remus' feelings in the days after Hallowe'en 1981.

(The world is strange; strange and old and sometimes dead, but mostly, it is living.)

Story discussed in the DADA class on mugglenet's fan fiction forums.

The Magical Menagerie by Quigley

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Forget about Harry, Hermione and Ron. Here come the new team against Voldy! Crookshanks, Hedwig, Trevor and Fawkes! Eventually, they'll probably do something to foil Lord Voldemort's evil plan. But I haven't decided yet.

The Chamber of Clocks by snarkyroxy

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: None of them would be any use if one wanted to tell the time. The passing of the hours meant nothing in this room.

Highly Improbable by Vocalion

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: COMPLETE. A woman visits Hogwarts expressly to meet Severus Snape. Her eccentric aunt led her to believe that he was the kindest, handsomest man to ever grace the earth. What will she do when she discovers the awful truth - let a few minor imperfections stand in the way of romance? Highly Improbable has been recognized by the Multifaceted Awards as Winner in the Laughter Category and Runner-Up in the Identity Category (Best Original Character), and also by MNFF's first annual Quicksilver Quills Awards. Thanks, MuggleNet!

Behind Blue Eyes by mspadfoot89

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: No one knows what it's like,
To be the bad man,
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes

One-shot. Set after the war with Voldemort, Draco Malfoy sits alone in his empty mansion reflecting on all of his past choices and mistakes. Is it really too late to go back?
Based on the song 'Behind Blue Eyes', by Limp Bizkit and originally by The Who.

Thanks to my two Betas, Lacerated and Orlaith. You really helped!

Truth Be Told by CraftySlytherin

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: What happens when Fred and George Weasley, Hogwarts' reknowned kings of pranks, decide to spike a shipment of pumpkin juice bound for Hogwarts with truth potion? A day filled with true confessions of Hogwarts students!!!!!

Great Plans by LariLee

Rated:
Summary: During a Seventh Year Potions class, Severus Snape begins thinking on and making plans for his future.

Veiled Revelations by erikthephantom

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: The Hogwarts Express brings mystery and mischief in the Marauders' seventh and final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter are facing a year of N.E.W.T.s, romance, intrigue, and, of course, a little mischief-making. There are plot twists galore! James (in the midst of saving the world) continues desperately to try to woo the incorrigible Lily Evans. Sirius deals with family problems while dealing with his incredible popularity and good looks (the horror!). Remus is provided with a backdoor to avoiding the prejudices of the inevitable real world, but at what cost? (dun-dun-dun) And Peter...well, Peter gets himself a girlfriend (but don't worry: it doesn't affect his hero-worshipping of James...or DOES IT?!)
