The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. I miss this story! It is my favorite fan fic ever, and seriously on the same level as the actual Harry Potter books. And those are over, so I need The Unseemly Proposal!
Seriously, every time I log onto mugglenet, your story is the first thing I check! Even before adding the next chapter for my story or checking its reviews! Please update! It's been left at such a CRAZY cliffhanger!
If nothing else, could you give us an update? Last we heard from you was in 06 and a little news would be comforting :)

Wow major cliffie! This was an amazing chapter, I got so excited when I saw it was updated! I noticed a few things along the way so I thought I'd point them out:
“Well it takes one to know one, isn’t it?”
this should be doesn't it
“Is not possible for you to give a straight answer, Hermione?”
should be Is it
The person sending the Knot only has the power to enchant with a specific purpose...
this should be enchant it with
Pathetic? Soft? Muggle-loving?? These were not the words associated with Draco Malfoy!

I really liked the Severus/Lucius pairing. It seems realistic and it would explain why Snape is the way he is. Lucius was so perfectly creepy. The song fits so perfectly, too! *loves Queen*

This is a really interesting story and Meleia's a cool character. I like how you added Hermoine's story in this chapter, and the Hogwarts attack as a distraction. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm In Love With My Car by MaiaMadness
Rated: 1st-2nd Years •Summary: “I’m holding your wheel! All I hear is your gear! I’m cruising in overdrive. Don’t have to listen to no one in the middle talk jive. I’m in love with my car. Got a feel for my Automobile…” The muggle car was beautiful and bright turquoise. It wasn’t big or suave. It was not one of those fancy, big American cars. It was simply a cute little Ford Anglia. But Arthur Weasley loved it!

Date: 11/01/07 Title: Chapter 2: And Afterwards...
I really like this! I didn't think I would like a Harry and Draco fic this much, because it seems so OOC. But they are in character here, and their need for companionship brings them together. Plus the fact that they're both drunk.
It's interesting that Harry keeps thinking about it, even a year later, after he's slept with Ginny. Molly would definitely not like that they were sharing a room, but I don't think Ron would say anything about it, he would be too embarrassed.
Author's Response: I guess the second chapter is kind of pointless... It\'s like a sort of epilogue, but looking back I might as well have skipped it all together.
I\'m glad you liked the story, though, abd that I managed to write them in character enough that a person who doesn\'t really like pairing could enjoy the story. Thanks for reviwing!

Now that's horrible! Giving those little previews so want to know what will happen... I should think about doing that in my story :D Anyway, this was a great chapter, and I liked that Harry decides to try to talk to the monster. He wouldn't have done that as a Gryffindor but a Slytherin would ;)

Wow! I just started reading this and I really like it! I love how you show Harry still being Harry even though he's a Slytherin. And this chapter was great...it's interesting that Harry's the one doing the attacks and now he thinks he's the heir.
Whatever happened to that tunnel he found in the Slytherin dormitories? I would have expected him to explore it more completely, and I'm kind of curious!

Oops I clicked the button too early...I love that the beginning starts the same as the other story ends, it gives it continuity and makes it feel like he lived, rather than you just decided to bring him back from the dead. ; )

I suppose it\'s rather obvious that I don\'t care much for dear old Bella. Her death here wasn\'t as cool as in DH, but I think she deserved to die forgotten and alone, never to be found. *hates Bella*
