My Troubled Tyrant by Belledeg

Summary: Keedie Dante has experienced many amazing things during her time at Hogwarts, including the hushed up drama that was the Chamber of Secrets. However, with two overachieving friends and a headmaster who does not even know she exists, Keedie feels that perhaps her seventh year will not be too spectacular. However, Dumbeldore sees her potential as a writer and enrols her in a simple writing course. Here, she meets the mysterious and terrifying Tom Riddle and they instantly get under one another's skin. She is drawn to his dark determination towards some unknown goal and he is fascinated by her, in every way. However, Tom's friends do not approve of Keedie and her unconventional ways and Keedie has many people trying to keep her away from the dark young man as well. Something inside tells Keedie that she can make him better, but even he assures her that this is an impossible task. But she's not one to give up easily...

Is their conversation set during HBP? Maybe Keedie comes to Hogwarts to meet Dumbledore? But then Snape would probably know about it.
Author's Response: It does happen in HBP. Harry's a bit distracted with Draco Malfoy and Ginny to really focus on Keeds. And she's not staying long in Hogwarts. ;-)

I loved Umbridge getting a beating! She was so in character, that's exactly how a fifth-year-prefect Umbridge would be like!
As for the breakup, I guess it had to happen sooner than ever!
Just a thought (I know you're probably getting tired of them now!), if Bellatrix found out about Keedie (since her future husband is in Riddle's year), she would be pretty furious, wouldn't she?!
Author's Response: What an inspired thought. One I am certainly considering. Though I think with a bit of practice, Keedie could take her. I'm glad that no-one is feeling sorry for Dolores.

I can't wait to read this part of the conversation between them! I wonder what Keedie says to him to make him this angry! Unless he just realizes she's been his weekness all along.

Author's Response: He will promise in chapter twenty-six. I always felt that there was an awkward secret between them. I'm bending the canon rules as far as they'll go. :-)

Back to business.
What would age have to do with making horcruxes? Unless...you're right, it is looking more and more like he's trying to get her on Horcruxes (it sounds like a drug when put that way!). Well, I'll keep an open mind!

If this is the epilogue, is this scene set during when Snape is still Headmaster and Harry & the gang haven't arrived yet to destroy the diadem?
And also, by destroy, I think Slughorn means she went over to the dark side or something! Or that her conscience disappeared and she doesn't mind his evil acts in the name of, ironically, love.

Author's Response: Greg doesn't care about Keedie anymore, he just loathes Tom. And yes, this excerpt is what provokes the Tom/Gregor fight. :-)

I don't know what to say so I'll just let the other reviewers say it for me.

FINALLY, we know who the voice is! What a clever idea, having the gemstone connect them!
The death scene was heartbreaking for Tom, but since I already knew, it didn't really hurt much. I'm just wondering about the smell of vanilla and honey.
The unknown Abbott! I remember this from DH when Harry and Hermione are at the graveyard!
How sad that everyone's memories were modified. At least Dumbledore still knows about Keedie.
And that line, the twist, how you made Dumbledore be the one to introduce that concept! Brilliant!
One thing. WHY ON EARTH DIDN'T GREG DIE????!!! Unless you didn't want him to be reunited with Keedie in death?
And she's a painting! I always felt ghosts and painting were good substitutes to the actual person. I was really disappointed when Sirius hadn't come back. I'm glad people will still be able to talk to her. Where is she, by the way? Near Gryffindor Tower? Does Voldemort talk to her when he comes back to 'ask' for the teaching job?
Can't wait for the epilogue. It feels a lot like when HP was ending, except this time, right when it ends, I have two other Belledeg fics waiting for me!

Another bloody brilliant chapter! It's becoming harder and harder for me to review now becuase there are so many things I want to write about.
Like the voice. I'm still completely in the dark! Is it Voldemort? He's the only one I could think who embodies these emotions... Is it even male? It could be Iris...
By the way, when they're walking back from the Leaky Cauldron, the text says "Expand, please". Did you mean "Explain, please"?
So Keedie gives him the idea of the Dark Lord! She's caused more harm than she realizes.
They finally find out it was them in all those memories!
I hope the push from Greg didn't cause the miscarriage. (If there is one)
That voice...it just keeps getting to me...who would be upset that she's carrying Riddle's offspring? Voldemort? Dumbledore? Harry? I'm all over the place!
I'm glad he didn't kill Greg, let Melena have some happiness, poor thing!
Ha! You portrayed Cornelius to perfection! Which again reminds me of the voice...'one day you shall', has to be Voldemort...Urgh, the voice is driving me insane!!!
By the way, I hope this wasn't one of the cliffhangers you were refering too because it isn't that bad! What would be really bad is if someone was struck by Aveda Kedavra and you didn't tell us who or something like that.
Author's Response: So many questions....yeah, it would be pretty scary if someone died at the end of a chapter. It's meant to be "expand". The voice is male and there is still a baby. :-)
