My Troubled Tyrant by Belledeg

Summary: Keedie Dante has experienced many amazing things during her time at Hogwarts, including the hushed up drama that was the Chamber of Secrets. However, with two overachieving friends and a headmaster who does not even know she exists, Keedie feels that perhaps her seventh year will not be too spectacular. However, Dumbeldore sees her potential as a writer and enrols her in a simple writing course. Here, she meets the mysterious and terrifying Tom Riddle and they instantly get under one another's skin. She is drawn to his dark determination towards some unknown goal and he is fascinated by her, in every way. However, Tom's friends do not approve of Keedie and her unconventional ways and Keedie has many people trying to keep her away from the dark young man as well. Something inside tells Keedie that she can make him better, but even he assures her that this is an impossible task. But she's not one to give up easily...
"He is a dark one, Keedie. Try not to let him consume you entirely."

As for the Lestranges, I always felt their's was a marriage of convenience, not of love, maybe to produce more Death-Eaters!

I'm imagining all sorts of things, it's driving me crazy! So Keedie just stands there while Riddle is wreaking havoc everywhere or does she just show up in the nick of time and tell him to show remorse? Then when he's killed, does she grieve or does she die too and maybe they live happily ever after at the King's Cross limbo area...I'm all over the place, sorry!

Ha, I love the way Riddle uses her own words from the beginning of the year to retort.
It's so true though, there can't be any such thing as make-believe in a world where magic is performed! Sometimes makes me jealous, I just broke something I had and was wishing I could do 'reparo' to fix it, but alas, I am but a filthy muggle :(
Then again, we all (including JKR) are!

Did I mention you were one of the best writers on this site? (probably a hundred times by now!)
And I want you to know that I really appreciate it that you take the time to read all our crazy reviews and then reply to them. Lots of authors don't respond to reviews which sometimes doesn't leave a very good impression.
Back to the story, I'm glad the baby is still there. Hey! I just remembered the dream with the little girl. Is she about to say Daddy? So maybe Slytherin's new heir will be a girl. If she's born, that is.
I could see the following happen:
Tom leaves for his 'experiments' with dark magic, the child is born, Keedie never tells the child about its father and vice versa, she tells Tom about the baby during the battle and that's when he stars freaking out! (But I don't think that's going to happen, is it?)
Author's Response: A very good prediction. Yes, she is about say Daddy. She has Tom's curly black hair and Keedie's eyes. Aw. And you know I love reviews. The crazier the better. Speaking of which, four more until 300! ;-)

Back to the story, I just wondered if you had a Keedie-Hagrid scene in the epilogue, she was such a good friend of his and if she saw what Volders was putting him through (lifting the 'lifeless' body of Harry, etc), it might upset her a little bit.
Just realized how stupid that sounded!
Sounds like she doesn't care about the other evil things Riddle's done! But I guess that's the price She has to pay to be with Riddle, right?

What did they take from him?!!! Keedie?!!! But she's supposed to be there...but you also said Hayden was close to the mark with her Resurrection Stone theory...what's going to happen?!
So is this excerpt in those few seconds before he dies? Oh, obviously it is, stupid question!
Anyways, do I suspect a time-turner making an appearance sometime in the course of this fic?

I just noticed something, Belledeg is an anagram for Bleed Leg! So maybe somebody gets a bloody leg in the next few chapters...coughGregcough

So that's where the miscarriage comes from...I presume. As you said, time will tell.
I wonder what Keedie does in those 13 years since Voldy's been defeated...and what her reaction is when she hears of his rebirth. I somehow can't picture her being with and loving the Voldemort portrayed in the movies!

you're right, he's not the type to let anyone win; the way you built your version of Riddle makes it easier to understand why he felt so humiliated being defeated by a one-year old.

Kidding, you can't really give any more, we know 3/4 of the epilogue by now!
You know, I'm really going to enjoy my reread.
Even with the HP books, even if you know who dies and all, it's still enjoyable reading it all over again and pretending you don't know. And of course, the subtle hints are easier to pick once you know the ending.
I'm still going to review on every chapter I reread if I spot another of your sneaky hints! And of course, the review counts on the Harper Riley and Ted/'Dromeda fics are going to dramatically increase soon!

Hey, judging from your response to the other reviewers, at least Keedie's still alive till the Battle of Hogwarts at least! Oh, I just got an idea! Will she be there when Tom/Voldy has his 3 on 1 with Slughorn, McGonagall and Kingsley? Considering she knew Slughorn and Minerva?

That is the worst possible cliffhanger! (Except for the fact that Keedie is in the epilogue, so maybe not that bad, eh?)
You continue to amaze me! What an awesome chapter.
First of all, Bring Me To Life is one of my favourite songs and the lyrics fit so perfectly with My Troubled Tyrant!
Okay, what else? I loved how Tom tricked her into agreeing to marry him at 20 with that being his age, not hers!
'Mouth-rape' was pretty funny as well.
The story Keedie's writing is alot like My Troubled Tyrant, isn't it? Maybe she'll publish it after the Battle of Hogwarts (if she survives) under the penname Belledeg.
I liked the scene in Keedie's house with Riddle transfixed by her pictures. And the orphanage part was chilling as well. The Andrew Parker part sounded alot like Chapter 1 of SS/PS!
I'm glad Melena finally came to her senses though it's more to do with her liking Greg than for Keedie, I suppose.
Greg is just the same old idiot, isn't he?
It feels odd commenting on this chapter because I've already commented on all the excerpts you put up from it! Though at least I know the context of all those dialogues now.
But how could you leave us with such a horrible cliffhanger??? Does Tom know any healing spells? The tramp is obviously going to die after being mercilessly crucioed (and deservedly so). Keedie might be taken to St Mungo's. OMG, just realized, she has the baby in there...but you said the baby is born so no worries there, huh?
Anyways, can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Why would Tom know Healing spells? He's immortal...he has no need for such common things. Did I say that the baby would get born? JK said that Tom turned the locket into a Hocrux after killing a Muggle tramp, so I thought, "I could use that". All I will say about the last two chapters is that they are gonna be pretty dark. Clues towards Keedie's fate have been dropped since the beginning...... :(
