My Troubled Tyrant by Belledeg

Summary: Keedie Dante has experienced many amazing things during her time at Hogwarts, including the hushed up drama that was the Chamber of Secrets. However, with two overachieving friends and a headmaster who does not even know she exists, Keedie feels that perhaps her seventh year will not be too spectacular. However, Dumbeldore sees her potential as a writer and enrols her in a simple writing course. Here, she meets the mysterious and terrifying Tom Riddle and they instantly get under one another's skin. She is drawn to his dark determination towards some unknown goal and he is fascinated by her, in every way. However, Tom's friends do not approve of Keedie and her unconventional ways and Keedie has many people trying to keep her away from the dark young man as well. Something inside tells Keedie that she can make him better, but even he assures her that this is an impossible task. But she's not one to give up easily...

I'm no match for Lovemagic, I'm not even gonna try! By the way, that's pretty smart about the resurrection stone (it would go with the Voldy-death scene, where he's scared that Dumbledore told Harry about Keedie because the way you wrote it makes it look like Riddle's thinking of her in the past tense) And my guess is that he accidentally (or on purpose) killed Keedie :(
And this is perhaps the first fic on this site where fellow readers (just me and Hayden, Lovemagic's too impersonal now!) praise (or criticize) the other reader's opinions; just goes to show how involved MTT gets its readers. I have SERIOUSLY never had this much fun with any other fic on this site.

You're (and I mean Belledeg - so much confusion!) probably cursing (how about Crucio?) us, we're double-handedly (is that even a word...or rather two???) spoiling the story for everyone else with our crazy theories which somehow turn out to be correct!
And sorry about that last sentence, I have a weekness for brackets (seroiusly)!

just got back from HBP, really enjoyable though as usual strayed considerably from the book, thought your Riddle was much better than the movie's portrayal of him (I wrote this 9 hours ago and then my battery died!)

Voldemort was able to stop Wormtail's bleeding in GoF. I'm sure he'd know all the basic spells. Though you're probably right, he wouldn't really need any healing spells.
By the way, I was mistaken. You never did say the child was born, you only said it was a girl. So Keedie could probably tell Voldemort at the Battle that she was pregnant and had a miscarriage.
Whatever happens, all I know is that you are brilliantly tricky with your replies to reviews, you never really give anything away and continue to keep us guessing!

When you say Hayden's onto something, what if it's the 'Bellatrix kills Keedie' part??? Though I really can't see that happening; must be the resurrection stone.

Awesome! So Dumby confides in Snape! But I can't see where you'll go with that unless you have Snape leave a memory for Harry to follow the Lily ones. But Harry is too preoccupied. I don't know! Whatever you do with it, I'm sure i'ts going to make things interesting.
And I guess I was right, except Voldemort 'understands' way before he looks into Lily's eyes!
Question: does the chapter before the epilogue end at Voldy's defeat...wait, you said there might be a scene in the leaky cauldron where Keedie would see Harry and so either that would be in the previous chapter or it would be in the epilogue...I'm confused!
Author's Response: The chapter before the epilogue ends with Tom leaving to begin all his mysterious adventures with dark magic.

2 more things (REALLY SORRY ABOUT THIS!!!); first, I'm wishing more and more that this was an AU; second, I seem to find it really hard to think of him as Voldemort now; he's just Riddle to me, you've humanized him to such a HUGE extent!!! (then again, he was always Riddle, or rather Tom, to Dumbledore as well!)
Author's Response: I started this story off loathing Tom and now I wish I could change it to AU as well. Now whenever I see or read Voldy, I'm like, "Tom's acting up again!" :D

The new excerpt is just so sad. And Riddle understands how Mint feels too :(
What happened to Keedie?! Maybe she and Tom got separated after the attack. Or maybe she left him. But why would she leave behind Mint?
You're right, things are getting darker. 'You can come as far as Albania' sounded chilling, as if the Voldemort we all know and love (not) is about to surface and Riddle is fading away.
Author's Response: Okay....uh....remember ages ago when someone said, "I guess Keedie has to die in the end" and then everyone started talking about it? Well....they were kind of right.... :( I wasn't lying when I said she'll be in the epilogue. But, by then, I think Voldemort's mind will be sorta open for hallucinations. *coughs miserably* So this is why he's the way he is. Death beating love. :(

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT CHAPTER!!! Loved EVERYTHING, from the aftermath of the fight to the hospital wing to the truth or dare to the Hogwarts Express, everything is going in the right direction for what I predict will be an AWESOME finale!

Second, it fits it so well with OotP, that's why Voldy was going through all that agony-Keedie!

WHAT A STORY!!! If the rating was on a scale of 1-5 stars, I'd give this 10!
LOVED EVERYTHING IN THE EPILOGUE, LOVED THE LOVE LETTER IN THE END!!!
I'm so sad it's ended :(
But what a ride!
I just wish the epilogue was longer. I realize now how it could fit into the amount of words it has. I always thought those excerpts you put up were part of longer scenes but it was like a series of flashes. But I was okay with that.
I really liked Harry and Keedie's conversation with him not realizing who she was. But there were lots of things I wanted which didn't happen like Harry finding out about her but that wouldn't fit in with canon so that's okay!
And it's not goodbye. I'm going to do my reread and leave more reviews. My aim is to get this fic over 500 reviews and we all need to try and tell as many people we can about it. You really deserve to win the awards.
And of course, now it's time for the other fics.

P.S. I have not once insulted any of my fellow reviewers. I have not uttered any words to offend anyone. I may be a 'small' person and I may be 'annoying' and I may not leave 'real' reviews but at least I haven't started a war of words with anyone and I'm glad about that.
Author's Response: I'd love to get to 500 but I doubt it'll happen. 400, surely. Hopefully all the lyrics and quotes at the beginning of the chapters will make sense now you know the ending :D
