I'm basically a Harry Potter fanatic! I have read all of the books multiple times and they never get old. Never! In fact, the first few I have basically memorized. I absolutely love to read, but during the semester I am reluctant to pick up a whole book (gasp) and dedicate time to it, so I spend my free time reading Harry Potter fanfiction (though some of it is as long as a book...it's just different, I say!)
I love almost anytihng to do with history. I also love to read all types of literature. I go through it like candy during my time off. I love any type of mythology especially Norse and Greek.
Anyway, my favorite relationships: Harry/Hermione and Draco/Ginny and also Draco/Hermione. It's a crazy love...square? But really, if the story is well written, I'll eat it like candy either way
My heart used to be for Harry alone, but a couple of authors have made me see the error in my ways and now Harry must share my love with Draco, Remus and Sirius.
Honestly, I couldn't give a darn about that much action becuase I like reading about personal relationships as well. I read a lot of Jane Austen and there's not a lot of action going on...so it really doesn't bother me as long as I can watch characters and relationships develop. You learn a lot more that way than a lot of action going on because I think it distracts from the main plotlines a lot of times. ANyway, that's my opinion. I mean, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, but it's hard for people to really make good, realistic relationships with people whether they're going for platonic, familial or romantic. Bottom line: I don't care if there's a lot of action I'm much more interested in Lindi's reaction to Remus's "furry little problem"
Author's Response: Thank you, ren_a87. I do hope that the relationships I\'m trying to flesh out seem realistic. That is the whole point of this little tale. ;) I do sometimes worry that I take far too long to get to the action, whether it is a big action sequence or the first kiss, but I enjoy the building more than the payoff. I suppose I should realize that you and my readers in general would have to prefer the relationshipy part as well, or you wouldn\'t still be here after all this time. I certainly haven\'t hooked anyone with all the action! LOL I hope that you are satisfied when Lindi finds out the truth, after the long, long wait. That is assuming she does. <.<
>.>
*muwahahahahah*
*places hands on hips* I would just like to point out that this is NOT what I had expected from a chapter entitled "The Reveal"! That being said...It was very good, but since it wasn't what I expected, I confess myself to be slightly disappointed, but I suppose I shall forgive you (I must...since I want to know what happens!) if you PLEASE give the tiniest facial expression as a reaction before ending your next chapter as "Lindi, I'm a werewolf..." the end!
Author's Response: :*) I know. I have to say I'm surprised there haven't been more admissions of disappointment--and threats of violence etc... LOL Of course, I don't blame you and am glad that you are being so gracious about it. Thank you. "Lindi, I'm a werewolf..." the end! Hmm... I like it. Short, to the point and of course I can't tell you how the next chapter will end. :p Thank you for reviewing, ren.
Wow! I'm really pleased at the speed of the update ;) I'm glad Remus told Lily the truth. Now it'll be easier to eventually tell Lindi. If there are already so many people Lindi is comfortable with to know she'll feel better about accepting it when he finally does tell her.
Author's Response: Oh...I love Optimism! <.< I wonder if that is the eternal or cautious kind. >.> And it was speedy, wasn't it. *pets self on back* I've already updated half as much in this first month of 2010 as I did in all of 2009. :*/ Dare I say it is a New Years resolution to post more regularly? Nope...I don't want to jinx myself. :P But thank you for reviewing again, ren_a87. I'm not feeling a lot of love! LOL
I absolutely love this fanfic! You have made Harry a rival for my heart! (I know, I'm lame...) Anyway, I hope you update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you ren_a87. I\'m glad to know you are enjoying it. A rival? *teheh* I don\'t think you are lame. ;) The next chapter is with my beta, so hopefully not too much longer. Hope you enjoy it and thank you for reviewing.
I was actually just contemplating posting last night to see if you had abandoned this story! I'm really glad you hadn't because it's one of my favorites! I'm anxious for Remus to tell Lindi is "furry little problem"! Can't wait for your next post!
Author's Response: :*/ It probably seemed like I had abandoned it, but I didn't! Largely thanks to readers who haven't abandoned it, so thank you so much for letting me know you are still reading. I really appreciate it. Remus is anxious about that, too, but not in the same way, I think. ;) *hehe* Poor Remus... I hope you won't be waiting too much longer...for the next post, I mean. Not the 'furry little problem' revelation. I'm not even hinting when (or if) that occurs. <.< *MUWAHAHAHAHAH* /trying to be evil] :) Thank you for reviewing ren_a87.
Another good chapter! I thought it had a good amout of action even if it was just for the competitions, you can't have every chapter packed! Anyway, it is a bit cruel of you to leave Lindi's "punishment" to the next chapter! But I guess as you have it almost finished, I'll forgive you this once! Just kidding, hope it's as good as this one!
Author's Response: Thank you, ren_a87. I know what you mean about the action. I\'m afraid action isn\'t one of my strengths, as I enjoy writing more personal interaction than anything. Still, action is necessary, unfortunately! LOL Lindi thinks it is cruel to make her wait too! I\'ll try to let her and you get it over with soon. I actually hope the next one is better, but I\'m not particularly optimistic as it is still part of the chapter from h*** for me, but I really appreciate your kind words. Thank you for reviewing. :)
Oh my gosh! They are so mean! I knew that's what it was going to be as soon as the cake appeared! Poor Lindi...I wouldn't have been able to do it. She's braver than I am, that's for sure!
Author's Response: Heheheh...poor Lindi! I would have jumped off the tower instead. LOL Maybe she could have been a Gryffindor after all...Nah! Thanks, ren_a87. :)
*sighs* I was so excited that the last line would at least be "Lindi...I'm a werewolf!" But, I have consoled myself with this thought..that the next chapter would be dedicated to him telling Lindi!
It was a great chapter, I really do love the way you have captured human nature. Regardless of this is how J.K. Rowling would have written them or not, you have made a truly awesome dynamic with these characters and I absolutely love them.
Oh! Next chapter, please! I too am in serious need of an MOB fix!!!
Author's Response: Hi, ren_a87! I\'m so sorry for keeping you waiting. I\'m having a terrible time finding time to work on the chapter, and to make matters worse, I\'m having a really hard time with this one. It\'s probably because I don\'t have the time to dedicate to it. *eyes roll* I am trying, but... *sigh* My fervent hope is that I will have it up by Christmas and that you will not find it a poor excuse for a Christmas gift. :( I will do my very best.
Oh! Please update soon! I, too, am in serious need of an MOB fix!!
Author's Response: :*/
Ugh! I thought for sure this would be the chapter! Anyway, I really enjoyed it, poor, drunk Remus and all. I am glad that he caught his senses though, because Lindi's right, they wouldn't want that to have been their first time! *Crosses arms* I sincerely hope he breaks the news after that, though...I'm thinking...within the next 5,000 words?
Author's Response: Next 5,000 words…? Aw, I love optimism! *tehehe* But who knows? Oh, yeah, I do. ;) Of course, I’m not telling. *evil grin* And absolutely, it would have spoiled the first time. They deserve the doves and champagne and rose petals…*hopeless romantic* :*) I’m glad to know you enjoyed it, ren_a87. Thank you.
Another great chapter! Sorry I'm not saying anything too great, but the next night of the 24 season premier is about to start in like 2 minutes so I'm rushing. Anyway, I'm excited that the next one will be out soon! I'm going to hold you to that, and if it takes too long...well...I'll just read it anyway because what can I do? Good work!
Author's Response: Ha! Blown off for the season premier of 24! lol Well, I'm just glad you are still speaking to me, after the last review, with this chapter not giving you what you said you wanted. ;) So thank you, ren_a87. And yes, you can hold me to the upcoming update. I just have a little tweaking to do to make it stand on its own, since it was actually written to be part of this one. A little formatting too and it should be ready no later than next week. :) It would be sooner if I didn't have in-laws in town and the file wasn't on my other computer. >.< Still, I haven't updated so quickly in forever! :D
Please update soon! My only complaint is the chapters are too short! Don't take that badly, I don't know what all you have on your plate work and school wise, I just love to read and when it's good it's never too long!
Are you still writing this fic? I really hope so! Please update!
I apologize for ignoring your incessant pleas to review every chapter, but I had been very intent on finding out when Everett unveils his true identity to Harry that I decided to wait until the end despite my guilt! However, I couldn't simply go on at the end of this chapter. Draco absolutely cracked me up especially the obsessive compulsiveness which tracked the amount of hours he was forced to work himself up to raiding Everett's apartment and then how he wasted time cleaning for him! Anyway, just to warn you now, probably won't review again until I get to your last chapter, but then I promise to review every succeeding chapter. I hope Harry returns soon!
Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the lengthy review! I'm glad you're enjoying my writing, and thanks for your comments! I hope you like the rest when it comes!
Ok, I lied. All I have to say is "yay", now going on to the most recent chapter!
Author's Response: Yay!
I forgot to mention in my last two comments that your Dumbledore is very, very well done. He is probably the best I have seen in the fanfictions I have read in terms of being close to canon! Hope the next chapter is out soon.
By the way, I think Everett will spill the beans but it's going to take a while. He's going to have to talk himself into it several times when he actually goes to tell her and I think she will be frustrated and angry that he lied, but hurt and felt taken advantage of because he knew she was hurting because she was missing him and he didn't reveal himself, but I think eventually that will pass and she'll just be happy that he's back and hopefully we'll have more awesome-ness to come!
Author's Response: Thank you for the comment about my Dumbledore! He is my FAVORITE character, so that was like an uber comment! And I love hearing reviewers' theories as to what Everett will do. Very interesting =)
In Romania, Draco finds that dealing with dragons is less complicated than dealing with Ginny's family.
I really like your stories that go with A Tale of Two Matchmakers. I accidently read the Christmas one first, but I finally got through the full story. I really, really liked it! I really like this in Draco's point of view. He's absolutely hilarious to hear his thoughts! My favorite was the dragonet hatching!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you liked that part. It was fun to write. Draco helps the stupid thing, and what does he get in return? :D A snog with a half naked Ginny cheered him right up, though!
I really like this story. Harry's character has had to be almost entirely redeveloped because of his amnesia. I really liked this chapter! Update again soon, please!
Author's Response: Thanks; I\'m really glad you\'re enjoying it. I was just working on the next chapter, and it should be ready to submit soon. :-)
I was wondering if you are still writing this story?
