The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Anyway, I wish to see Snape in a duel! Nobody, not even Rowling, gave him a chance to prove his magical skills. Unfair!!

OK, this is rather funny. On the 19th of October 2007 I was reading my first fanfiction ever which happened to be this one. I had only read HP and the HBP and HP and the DH at that moment. Guess what, the world of Harry Potter "engulfed" me so rapidly that I only two months later I am writing a HP fanfic myself (I've only written original work until now). I'm already 60 pages through it and since you are author of the first fanfic I ever read, I was wondering if you would make me the honor of being the first to read it and review it? If you like it I might think about posting it. So, what do you say?

Hello, Annie! Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the way your writing style has improved over the years...I am quite knew to this HP books and fanfics and I've only read a few, 3 amongst which are yours and if I may say you have travelled a long way since "the sweetest seen" for example. This fanfic is Great, even if I'am not into this kind of pairing. The plot and the story itself make the pairing seem almost possible.
But then again, I'all be sad when Malfoy is going to die again, 'cause he always seems to die in your stories...even if he is a worthless character in the original HP books, I'am growing slightly fond of him!
