I can't really image the canonSeverus acting that way...
Ah well. I love quirky ships like SS/HG, and I think you executed the pairing well. Very angsty and dark. I loved it.

I love your story, it has a fabulous plot and VERY interesting characters! I love how Ariel always has to nip to the bathroom to smoke!

Just a few criticisms, though. I would watch out for clichés and phrases that would make a sentence sound cheesy. Also, using phrases that aren't exactly common, ex: "Nina Williams is far more beautiful than her." Using "far more beautiful" almost makes it sound like you were trying too hard . I would have believed it better if you'd written "way more beautiful", or something like that, because it's more commonly used.

I don't want to sound picky or anything, because I do love your story!! Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Broken and Scarred by Sly Severus

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Bellatrix is longing to remember the past. When she opens a box full of memories; she unleashes something that will destroy her forever.
Reviewer: Sayla Nable Signed
Date: 01/05/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

What a powerful story! I don't think I'll ever see Bellatrix in the same way. I know it's not canon, but I can definitely see a messed-up relationship in her past.
I loved it. *hugs fic*

Author's Response: I\'m afraid nothing about my Bella is really canon, but it\'s the way I see her. Thanks for the review!

How wonderful was this? I can't begin to describe it. It was... disturbing. But good. Disturbing in a good way.
And yes, you are evil. Very, very evil.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks!
Disturbing in a good way? I didn\'t think that was possible. But hey, if it works.

Good Grace Is Hard to Come By by Enneirda

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Redemption has always had a funny ring to it...

Being disowned by her parents after a rather revealing and emotionally burdening event, Noël Potter struggles to rise above her outcast status, find financial security by fighting in an Underground illegal league of brawling, and eventually find a way back into the good grace of her family.

Teaser from Chapter 10:

This wasn't going too well.

He grinned manically as he pulled his fist back once more to deliver the blow. My cheekbone snapped. He retracted his hand once more. In a split second, I felt as if he should actually kill me; to end this sad story called my life.

A/N: About the warnings - There is some strong violence in some chapters due to the Underground League.

Holy smokes, guys! More than 2300 reads - thanks bunches!

Reviewer: Sayla Nable Signed

Overall, this was a very good fic, but I can't help but wonder why wizards would have an underground fighting league when they could have a dueling league? I would find it much more believable if Noel was a dueler rather than a fighter.
Don't get me wrong, I like your writing style, and I enjoyed the fic, I just would enjoy it more if you included more magic.
~Sayla

Author's Response: Thanks for reading! Yeah, I tried to create a unique fighting league free from magic, but thanks for the review!

Greyback's Daughter by clumsywerewolf2438

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: When Remus Lupin went to spy on Voldemort’s werewolves, he left behind his friends and the woman he loved. But when he got there, he found the last thing he expected to find: a friend.
Reviewer: Sayla Nable Signed
Date: 01/19/08 Title: Chapter 1: Prolgue: Unexpected Ally

Wow. This was very good. I really like your way of describing things. You make them seem almost real. The only thing I can think of that would make your fic better is to be wary of making sentences too long and wordy. They kind of tire out the reader, and they get hard to understand. Otherwise, the fic was really enjoyable.
~Sayla

Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, I do tend to get kind of wordy sometimes. My editor didn\'t technically read the whole thing. She said she skipped what she called the \"long, romanticized discriptions.\" I\'ll work on that in the future. Thanks again for reviewing!

Laughter of The Insane by stupid_muggle

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:
Sirius wasn't the only one who laughed as he was being taken away to Azkaban.

Bellatrix Lestrange laughed too.

And her laughter was louder.

Reviewer: Sayla Nable Signed
Date: 01/20/08 Title: Chapter 1: A Funny Thing.

Interesting fic...
I was actually really confused about this for a couple paragraphs. It took me a minute to figure out that "the woman" and "the man" were Alice and Frank Longbottom. I think you should have specified early on who you were talking about, and possibly referred to them as Alice and Frank, rather than just "them."
I had trouble distinguishing the "she" that meant Alice and the "she" that meant Bellatrix, too. I would have found it easier to read if the fic had been written from first person, rather than third.
Also, it gets a bit sloppy at the end. Don't rush through the exciting parts too much, or the readers get confused.
Overall, the fic was good, it just needs a bit of improvement here and there. I don't mean to sound harsh, and I don't want you to take this the wrong way. I liked the fic a lot. Keep writing.
~Sayla

Author's Response: i completely understand where you are coming from. I didn\'t want to use names in this fic because i wanted the readers to have to think about who this was all happening to. I wanted it to be a little confusing. But I know what your saying, and I will work on making it less confusing and rushed. :) thanks for the review and advice!

Oh my gosh! You have me almost in tears! The fic was really wonderful, I can hardly describe it. I'm very anxious to read more.
I can't find fault with anything, either. You're a very good writer, and it looks like you've got a very good plot going.
~Sayla

Author's Response: Thanks very much!! I hope you enjoy the story!

Moonlight Shadows by liveforthedream

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Sometimes situations call for a things to be done because they are necessary– not right, or kind, or fair – but essential. When Hermione is caught up in this desperate battle where there are no rules or guarantees, it is in the most unlikely of places that she finds her strength and safety.

I can't begin to describe how much I enjoyed this fic! Your attention to detail is remarkable! It makes the story much more colorful and interesting, as I'm sure you know. You also captured Voldemort perfectly. I always found him to be a tricky character to understand, but you wrote him as well as J.K. Rowling herself.
I only have one nit-picky critique. Snape was already a part of the Order at the beginning of Book 5, so he wouldn't have needed to teach Harry Occlumency to get into the Order. That's the only flaw I could find.
I really loved your fic. I'm really interested to see what happens next!
~Sayla

Author's Response: ha, thanks for the review; I\'m glad you enjoyed. And as for Snape...well, he lied about not being in the Order. I should probably go back and make that clearer.... hope you keep reading.

First Comes Friendship by social loner

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Seamus and Dean have been friends since they were eleven. They're basically joined at the hip! But what happens when Seamus has a secret? A secret he's been hiding since forth year? Now that the two boys are in their seventh and final year, Seamus is finding it harder and harder to keep his secret from Dean. But what would Dean think? There was no way that Dean saw their friendship as Seamus did. But one thought keeps penetrating Seamus' head: friendship always comes before love.

Date: 01/20/08 Title: Chapter 1: Of Boys, Girls, and Non-Friendly Feelings

Ooh, this was good. I never thought about Seamus as being gay. I suppose it makes sense, though. And liking Dean!! Scandalous.
You're a very good writer, too. You described Seamus's feelings without it sounding cheesy and awkward, which I always find hard to do from third person. I really like this fic, and I hope you put up more soon!
~Sayla

Author's Response: Haha. Neither did I and I still don\'t, but you have to admit, the chemistry is there! Thanks for reviewing!

Christmas For Lovers by Cwiddy

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Its Christmas and Tonks thinks about the past year, fears that have been melted away. The year has brought her a husband and soon a child.
Reviewer: Sayla Nable Signed
Date: 01/27/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Lovely poem!
I just have a bit of a critique. At the beginning of every line there should be a capital letter. For example, "promising to be there the rest of his life," should be "Promising to be there the rest of his life." Even when there's no period at the end of the first line, there should be a capital at the beginning of the second line.
This really is a beautiful poem. It's very sweet.
~Sayla

Author's Response: part of capitals is style...and I chose in this poem to keep going with the sentence, without capitalization. Thanks for the input though! It is much appreciated!!

Must Be Love by Phoenix Rising

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: HG/SS, Harry's POV. Post-OoTP.
Harry finally resigns himself to the fact that his best friend and worst enemy were dating.

"Greasy hair," Ron squeaked, then shrank back into the common room sofa when Hermione's glare was turned on him. For a seventeen year old girl, Hermione can glare like a champion. She'll make a great mother someday, let me tell you that.

I like this. It's clever, well written... I do like it. I can't think of anything to change or add, either. This goes on my favorites!!!
~Sayla
P.S. You wouldn't think of expanding on this at all? Like making a longer fic from Hermione's point of view or something? I would love that!

Author's Response: Aww, Thanks! ^_^ I can\'t see myself expanding it. I might in the future, but this is unlikely. Don\'t hold me to that, though. ;-) I\'m still playing around with different Genres (one-shot style) to see what I\'m best at.
